Who is behind this site, why I do this and how I work.

Hi, I'm dani

I'm the creator of Tickets Visit and palaciorealdemadrid.com. I've spent years writing about the Royal Palace of Madrid, the most-visited European monuments and everything around planning a cultural trip without losing money or time in unnecessary queues.

This site (Tickets Visit) was born as a companion to palaciorealdemadrid.com when I realised people kept arriving with specific questions about how to book tickets in Spanish, English and French, and most websites just dropped an affiliate link without context. I try to do the opposite: honest analysis, verifiable data and, above all, telling you when booking online is NOT worth it.

Why I do this

I love historic monuments, especially the Royal Palace of Madrid (the largest in Western Europe, and almost nobody knows what's inside). I first visited the Palace as a kid with my parents, and since then I've been back dozens of times. palaciorealdemadrid.com was born out of the frustration of not finding quality information in Spanish about the rooms, the history and the details a curious visitor wants to know before going in.

Tickets Visit was the natural next step: expanding the focus to other European monuments where the same thing happens (scattered information, lots of marketing, little honesty), working with a single trusted partner (Civitatis) and keeping full editorial control.

How I work

Three principles:

  1. I only write about what I know. If I haven't visited the monument or compared the options, I don't comment. That's why the geographic coverage is limited: I prefer depth over fake breadth.
  2. The affiliate doesn't drive the recommendation. I work with Civitatis as an official affiliate (code 107878), but there are Civitatis activities I do NOT recommend and I say so openly. If I twist the recommendation because I get more commission, I lose reader trust and that's what I value long-term.
  3. Honest disclosure. In the footer of every page it's clear we're independent affiliates. When you book through my links, I get a commission that does NOT cost you extra. It's what keeps the project alive.

How to contact me

If you have questions, suggestions, or want to propose a sponsorship for any of the pages (hotels, restaurants in Madrid), you can reach me through palaciorealdemadrid.com.

To suggest new destinations to cover, tell me which one is missing. When I receive several requests for the same place, I move it up the priority queue.
